Plant Genome Savior Award 2025 received by Sri Lakshman Pramanik of Karimpur, Nadia, a progressive farmer under Nadia Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Gayeshpur, Nadia for conservation of Rice variety named “ Sankene ”. He was facilitated by Nadia Krishi Vigyan Kendra and represented by Dr. Subhra Jyoti Pramanik, SMS (Seed Science). Nadia KVK has facilitated to receive such types of awards for second time.

The Award is given by Hon’ble Union Agriculture Minister, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan on the occassion of the Celebration of 21st Foundation Day & Plant Genome Savior Award Function at ICAR Convention Centre, NASC Complex, Pusa, New Delhi on 12.11.2025 in the silver jublee year of PPV&FRA Act, 2001.
