Valedictory session for the 6th batch of the Certificate Course on Integrated Nutrient Management (CCINM)

Nadia Krishi Vigyan Kendra under the Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, had successfully concluded the valedictory session for the sixth batch of the Certificate Course on Integrated Nutrient Management (CCINM). This 15-day intensive residential programme is specifically designed to transform fertilizer dealers into knowledgeable “Para-Extension Workers,” bridging the gap between laboratory research and field application.

The ceremony was graced by Dr. Pradip Dey, Director of ICAR-ATARI Kolkata, who highlighted the critical importance of soil health stewardship and the role of balanced fertilization in achieving sustainable crop yields. The successful completion of this batch further reinforces Nadia Krishi Vigyan Kendra national prestige; it remains the sole KVK institution in India to have established a formal MoU with the Fertilizer Association of India (FAI) as an associate training partner. By equipping these industry stakeholders with scientific expertise in Integrated Nutrient Management (INM) and modern agricultural techniques, the KVK is ensuring that farmers receive more accurate, evidence-based advice, ultimately fostering a more resilient and productive farming community in the region.
