
Dr. Pradip Dey, Director of ICAR-ATARI Kolkata, visited the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Nadia, under Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, today. During the visit, he reviewed the on-station trial plots, with special focus on the garlic varietal evaluation, where Jamuna Purple-10 has shown encouraging initial performance.

He also reviewed key institutional facilities, including the incubation centre, the upgraded training hall, and the Integrated Farming System (IFS) units, and interacted with the KVK team regarding ongoing programmes and infrastructure development.

Dr. Dey further attended the valedictory session of the sixth batch of the CCINM course. Notably, this KVK is the only institution in India to have signed an MoU with the Fertiliser Association of India, recognising it as an associate training partner.
